For the 2004 – 2006 period, a post-accession Transition Facility has been offered to the new Member States by the European Union. Within this framework, activities relating to institution building are to be continued in a similar way as this was the case in the pre-accession period under the Phare Programme. In the period from 2004 to 2006 Slovenia has been earmarked EUR 20.4 million of the said assistance.
